Most people recognize the value in using a real estate agent when buying a resale property. The buyer knows that the seller is represented by the listing agent. As a result, the buyer will generally employ their own realtor to represent them throughout the buying process. When it comes to buying new construction, however, most people feel they don’t need a realtor.
Most buyers don’t realize that using a realtor when buying new construction is every bit as important as using a realtor for buying a resale property. Their thought is that between the Central Sales Office representative and the builder’s representative, they don’t need a realtor. But the salesperson from the Central Sales Office represents the developer. The representative for the builder represents the builder. Who’s representing the buyer’s interests? No one, unless the buyer is using a realtor!
Too many buyers feel that a realtor is unnecessary when buying new construction. Their impression is that the realtor does nothing more than introduce the buyer to the development or builder’s sales representative, then walk away with a generous commission check. Unfortunately, there is some truth to this criticism. There are some realtors who do just that. That’s why it’s important to choose the right realtor! You should choose someone who will be YOUR representative throughout the buying and building process.
In the Southwest Florida real estate market, many buyers of new construction are from out of state, and have to endure the building of their new home from miles and miles away. Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone in the local area to monitor the construction process for you? Better yet, what if this service was available to you for free! It is when you use The Jordan Team for your new construction purchase! We pride ourselves on going above and beyond the call of duty to represent you during every phase of the new construction process. We can offer advice when choosing your lot, choosing your builder and choosing your floorplan. We are your liaison with the builder you select. If you’d like us to act as your representative, please feel free to contact us via email or our cell phones. Since some developers won’t allow you to bring a real estate agent into the transaction after you’ve registered at their location, it’s important to contact us prior to your visit to any particular development.
